Youth Programme

In October 2013, the World Angus Forum is coming to New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to showcase our wealth of knowledge and expertise in grass-fed systems, and to invest energy and ideas for the future of the Angus breed worldwide through youth globally.

The World Angus Forum will attract more than 500 Angus breeders, farmers and associated companies from around the world, as they come Down Under to share their experience. Held every four years, the World Angus Forum is a vital platform for the exchange of genetics information and breeding objectives.

The Forum organising committee is putting youth at the forefront of this event, via a youth team competition running alongside the Forum.

Investing in the youth programme will provide invaluable experience in the skills and leadership for the future of world Angus organisations. This is a great opportunity for Angus youth to make friendships and contacts that will last a lifetime and further strengthen the Angus breed.

The youth programme competition will comprise fi ve sections: general knowledge; parading; stock judging, animal preparation and agri-sports. The competition will carry a major prize of NZ$10,000 for the winning team.

The World Angus Forum 2013 organising committee invites you to support this initiative by sending one (or more) teams to compete.

The World Angus Forum 2013 Youth Programme will also feature a post Forum tour – The Angus Adrenaline Tour.

We are pleased to offer Angus youth globally the opportunity to not only compete, but to experience New Zealand hospitality, tourism and agriculture.

We look forward to welcoming you to New Zealand.
